I’m sure by now, you’ve been made aware that The Mississippi Rivers’ Pool #9 and #10, are open for pleasure boating. Although much clean-up and restoration is still needed,--we can go fishing, again!

In accordance with our commitment to offer you, the fishermen, professionally managed tournaments, with community involvement, and local co-sponsors, Bass World Sports is moving our Marquette, Iowa , Division #9 tournaments, to Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.    Our tournaments which are scheduled out of Lansing-Village Creek State Boat Ramp, will still be held there.

Directions to ST FERIOLE ISLAND Public Boat Launch-PRAIRIE du CHIEN, WI

        FROM IOWA-

After you cross the RT #18 Bridge, turn LEFT at "Main Street"-(It is the FIRST turn you can make,- AT the Wisconsin Travel Information Center and Chamber of Commerce). Go North on Main St, to Washington ST. Turn LEFT- on Washington St, and cross a small bridge. After you cross this small bridge, onto the Island, take the first RIGHT turn. Go one block and make another RIGHT turn and follow the road to the Public Boat Landing and Parking Lot. It is on the right, about 1000 feet past the Marina.

FROM WISCONSIN-

Coming into Prarie du Chien, on RT #35, either from the North or South, turn west on Washington St. After crossing a small bridge, just west of Main St., onto the island, take the first Right Turn. Go one block and make another RIGHT turn and follow the road to the Public Boat Landing and Parking Lot. It is on the right, about 1000 feet past the Marina.

**New for 2001-Prairie du Chien is charging a $5.00 Parking and Launch fee at all public launch ramps. The card must be dated for the day of use and displayed on your dash and visible from outside your tow vehicle, or you will be ticketed. These will be available for you to purchase, as you check-in, in the morning. The funds will be used to build new and improve existing ramps and launch facilities.**

Check-in will begin at 4:30 A.M. Take-off, will be at 6:00 A.M., or safe-light. To fish our Tournament, you Must use this Launch Ramp and Parking area. We will need to inspect your live-wells, as you launch your boat. Anyone not having their live-wells inspected,-will be disqualified. A Pre-tournament meeting will take place, just before take-off.

Our weigh-in will be at the City Park, located on the corner of Main and Washington Streets. It is just south of the Launch Ramp and Parking lot, on the Prarie du Chien side, across from the Marina. It is the same weigh-in site that is used by Operation Bass and The BASS Federation. We ask you, to, Please weigh-in your fish, BEFORE you trailer your boat. The shoreline is sandy, and there is plenty of room. Parking on Main or Washington Streets will create congestion and will probably result in a traffic ticket.

Tom is 46 and works for Illinois Central Railroad.
