They caught their fish on brown/green Chompers, jigs and jerk baits, fishing a jig called Davenport Special Jig, in about 6-8 feet of water from the 16-24 mile marker area of the lake. They had their limit by 10:30 am and culled 9 other keepers. Marcus is 28 and is an insurance agent. Bill is 61 and today was his birthday and is retired. With the cold front coming in early in the week and the temperature in the  teens, we waited to see if the weather was going to break before having the tournament. The temperature did get into the high 20’s and with the help of Mike Foree, our new Ramp Director, no problem with ice on the ramp and with 6 boats canceling out the other fishermen still wanted to fish. The cold weather did not stop the fish from biting. As most of the fish coming in were good quality fish. 1st place winners Clint Reyburn and Marty McGinnis, from Sedalia and Gravois Mills, MO, weighed in the winning limit of 5 fish for 19-72 Lbs, winning $1,438.00 including $250.00 in Ranger Cup Bonus Money. And $110.00 for second big bass of the day with a 5-45 Lb bass. They caught their fish shad colored jerk baits on points in about 20 feet of water. Clint is 47 and is a maint supervisor. Marty is 47 and is self-employed. Ranger Boats and Team Supreme sponsor them. 2nd place winners Skip Surbaugh and Lonnie McKinney, from Lake Ozark, MO, weighed in 5 fish for 18-95 Lbs winning $462.00. Catching their fish on brown jigs and shad colored jerk baits in about 12 feet of water around mid lake area. Skip is 54 and is a guide. Lonnie is 44 and owns a pest control company. Lake Ozark Guide Service and Accurate Pest Control sponsor them. 3rd place winners Kevin Stonitsch and John Bledsoe, from Camdenton, MO, fished white jerk baits in about 6 feet of water around the 8-mile marker area. They weighed in 5 fish for 17-81 Lbs winning $418.00, including John’s 5-46 Lb big bass. Kevin is 43 and is a carpenter. John is 47 and owns Bledsoe Conoco Station in Camdenton.
